Best Barbecue

I couldn’t resist the turkey legs at the Best Barbecue booth.

My verdict: Fantastic!! The meat was smoked to tender perfection, the sauce was drinkable. I would seek out this tasty David that can stand up to any of the KC bbq Goliaths.

Pit master Marcus and his sister Carmen are a team, turning out the fiercely delicious ‘cue and sides. Marcus said that this is the first year for the business, taking their family tradition public.

Carmen

Carmen carries on her family's barbecue tradition with her brother Marcus.

Carmen told me that the girls in the family learned to cook when they were old enough to stand on a chair to reach the counter. The first recipe she cooked was cornbread when she was in the first grade.
